When 5-year-old, Josiah Duncan, saw a man outside the Waffle House where he was eating he asked his mom why the man was dirty and carrying a bag. Mom, Ava Faulk, explained that the man has no home. Josiah was concerned the man had no food. What happened next brought the entire restaurant to tears and made mom extremely proud.
Josiah asked if he could feed the man and mom said yes. “He came in and sat down, and nobody really waited on him. So Josiah jumped up and asked him if he needed a menu because you can’t order without one,” Faulk told WFSA-TV. The unnamed man ordered a burger with bacon, but before he started eating Josiah wanted to say the blessing. He sang a popular child’s blessing, “God our Father, God our Father, we thank you, we thank you, for our many blessings, for our many blessings, Amen, Amen.” His mom said everyone was crying.
