A Massachusetts man owes his life to his grandson and the paramedics that came to his aid. Six-year-old Zach Powers stayed calm and called 911 when his grandfather collapsed and became unresponsive.
The boy went to get the phone, and was even able to tell the dispatcher that his grandfather used needles on a daily basis, which tipped the dispatcher off to the grandfather’s diabetes.
Ironically, Zach’s grandmother had a conversation with him that very morning about the need to to call 911 in the event of an emergency. Thankfully, Zach remembered and helped save his grandfather’s life.
Have you taught your children when to call 911?
