Kids all over the country received guns for Christmas. Some may have been BB guns, but others were real guns. The reality TV family, the Duggars, are under fire for giving their 16-year-old a shotgun for Christmas.
Critics are saying a gun is not an appropriate gift for a teen. However, supporters say as long as kids are taught how to safely use a gun, there is no reason they shouldn’t have one.
We allow 16-year-olds to drive cars and think about the safety concerns there. Is it really that wrong to give a teen a gun, if you’ve taught them how to be safe?
