Valentine’s Day is a super fun holiday for kids, but as a parent I am not such a fan of ALL the sugar and candy they bring home from school! Here are some super cute non-candy Valentines we found that are sure to be a hit with kids (and their parents!)
1. Bouncy Ball Valentines (via Craft-o-Maniac.com)
You can usually buy bouncy balls in bulk from most party stores. Attach a cute note that says “Some hearts beat, but my heart bounces for you!”
2. Glow Stick Valentines (via Kommunicated.com)
Most Dollar stores sell glow sticks in multi-packs, and kids love them! Add a message that says “My heart glows for you” or “you make my heart glow” and you have a cheap and fun Valentine!
3. Friendship Bracelet Valentines (via Dandee.com)
These are super cute and easy to make! Cross-stitching yarn is available in tons of fun colors at craft stores and is pretty inexpensive as well.
4. Goldfish Valentine (via Tammy Mitchell Photography)
I haven’t met a kid that doesn’t like Goldfish crackers, and they look that much more fun presented in a cute container with the wording “Will you O”fish”ally be my Valentine?” or “You are o”fish”ally awesome!”
5. Toad-ally Awesome Valentines (via CrapIveMade.com)
If your child is worried about their Valentine’s being too “girly”, this is a perfect choice! You can buy plastic frogs in bulk via Amazon.com for pretty cheap. Stick them on to cardstock with glue dots with the message “Hope your Valentine’s Day is Toad-ally Awesome!”.
