Baby strollers.  They are kind of that necessary evil that plagues moms everywhere!  You can’t live with them (they’re bulky and annoying) and you really can’t live without them.  Below are some awesome mom hacks for baby strollers that might just make you fall in love with your baby-mobile! (maybe)

1. Hard to open stroller:  Let’s face it, some baby strollers are just plain hard to open!  And if you have a babysitter or family member watching your child, it can be super frustrating for them to try and figure out the puzzle.  Just take some color coded stickers, label them with directions and stick them on the appropriate button and levers! Now you have a built in manual!

2. Sippy Cup chaos: Some baby strollers come with built in cup holders, but some don’t.  If you need a little extra storage for sippy cups, juice boxes and snacks, cut up an old plastic shoe organizer, attach velcro adhesive to the back and stick it to the inside of the stroller basket.  It will free up extra space and keep things tidy!

3. Peeling handle grips: If you’re like me, your baby stroller has been used for more than one baby, or maybe it’s just seen better days!  The handle grips tend to wear and peel off after some time, but no worries! Use some tennis grip to wrap up your handles for a comfy and colorful grip!

4. Shopping back shuffle: Many of us take our baby strollers to the mall and out shopping.  My basket was always already full with my purse/diaper bag and other random kid stuff.  I love the idea of using an extra large Carabiner clip to hang from your handle.  Now you have a place to hang extra shopping bags!

5. Top heavy stroller:  We’ve all been there, you have too much weight from jackets/bags on the handles that the baby stroller tips over when you take baby out.  Problem solved!  Add heavy velcro ankle weights to the front wheels to keep it from tipping!

6. Trunk troubles:  If your baby stroller is big and bulky, chances are you don’t have much room for anything else when it’s in the trunk!  Take two old belts, loop them around the head rests of the back seats and the stroller, and tighten them to free up space!

7. Home storage:  Strollers are always in the way at home!  They take up too much space in the closet and front entry, and even in the garage.  Install an over the door hook on your garage door to store it safely out of the way!

8. Dirty strollers:  Add some dish soap to warm water, grab the kids and have them go to town on the stroller with cloths and sponges.  Rinse thoroughly with a hose and let it dry in the sun.

9. Sun in baby’s eyes:  If the sun is too low in the sky, and getting in baby’s face while walking, always carry extra office or chip clips with you in your diaper bag.  Just place a think blanket over the canopy and clip into place!

10.  Got mud?  Whether it’s snow, mud or rain, slippery terrain can be annoying when you’re trying to push a stroller!  Wrap zip ties around the wheels, cut the excess, and you have instant traction!

11. Stroller parking:  If you have to leave your baby stroller for a time, whether at the park, or a restaurant, store or other public venue, just secure it to a fence or pole with a bike lock!

12. Night time safety:  Add some reflective tape or bike lights to your baby stroller for added safety during evening strolls!
