Prescription drug use in on the rise and it’s happening in our neatly manicured little neighborhoods. Kids, usually as young as 14, are sneaking parent’s medicines and even moving on to heroin and other drugs once the medicine cabinet it empty.

“7 million American end up with crippling drug additions that all started off as prescribed drugs. Teen rates are on the rise with a new study showing one in four teens now abuse or misuse a prescription drug at least once in their lifetime, that’s a 33 percent increase from 2008.

New data points out that 20 percent of the teens who’ve abused prescription drugs say they’ve done so before the age of 14. Also, a mistaken 33 percent of teens believe that using prescription drugs not prescribed to them is okay to treat injury, illness or physical pain.” HERE.
