This is a fun and easy craft to make with kids of any age. On your next hike in the woods pick out a few pinecones. These feeders can hang outside your windows and the birds will come and offer a little entertainment for you and the kids.
What you need:
- pinecone
- peanut butter
- bird seed
- string or fishing line
- pie tin, paper plate or cookie sheet
- spoon
Directions
- Tie a string around the top of the pinecone.
- Cover the entire pinecone with peanut butter.
- Spread some birdseed in your pie tin, paper plate or cookie sheet.
- Roll the pinecone in the bird seed, covering it well.
- Hang your pincone feeder from a tree or hook on your back porch.
