A 37 year old Ellicott School Board member is facing charges of internet luring of a child, after El Paso County Deputies say racy text messages were found on a 14 year old boy’s cell phone.
In an arrest warrant obtained by News 5, investigators say Stefanie Dickinson would regularly text the 14 year old very sexually suggestive messages. At one point it seems she warns the boy that she could get in to a lot of trouble if anyone found out.
Later she states she will work on not being scared so that something can happen between her and the young teen. The warrant states the boy had recently been on a trip with Dickinson, her 2 children and possibly her husband.
Dickinson has served on the District 22 school board for the past 2 years and is currently a treasurer for the board. We spoke off camera to D-22 superintendent Terry Ebert. He told us because Dickinson is an elected official and not a school district employee, there are not many avenues for removing her from her position. Currently Dickinson is also involved in a recall vote for her school board position.
What do you think should happen to Dickinson?
