The dad claims Facebook is to blame and that she was at risk to be stalked by child abusers and pedophiles. His argument is that the site requires their members to be over 13-years-old. The father’s lawyer says the company is unable to check ages. Facebook should implement some type of age check, like a driver’s license or ID number.
The man’s daughter gave details about where she lived and her school. She was under the care of Northern Health and Social Care Trust when she was posting on Facebook. This means she wasn’t at home when she took the pictures and posted them. Her father seems to be taking no responsibility for her actions.
