The U.S. Product Safety Commission and Battat, Inc., announce the recall of all B. FunKeys toy keys with remotes.
Over 1 million toys are included in the recall for posing a choking hazard. Seventeen reports of the keys breaking, and 14 reports of the key rings breaking have been reported, though no injuries have been reported.
Affected toys are all B. FunKeys with factory code H58000-01 or H26300-01, and Parents Magazine Electronic Keys with factory code H26300-01. The remote of the B. FunKeys toy is olive green or red and the keys are multi-colored. The Parents Magazine toy comes in different colors and the top of the keys is a solid color. The remotes have sound buttons and the metal keys hang from a plastic ring.
The toys were sold nationwide through retailers and online from April 2010 to May 2011 for the B. FunKeys and January 2006 to December 2009 for the Parents Magazine keys.
Consumers should immediately take the recalled toys away from children and contact Battat at (866) 665-5524 between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday, or visit their website, to receive a free mailer to return the item for a replacement.
