Actress & model, Angie Harmon, admitted that she is “a mess with mommy guilt” in the July issue of Good Housekeeping. She is a working mom of three children and talks candidly about how difficult it can be for her.

Harmon said, “When I feel like I’m not doing what I am supposed to as a mother, I will torture myself. I don’t know how to deal with it. I find some consolation in the fact that all mommies feel it.”

She finds solace in the words of fellow actress and mother Kyra Sedgwick. “Kyra told me to keep my heart where my feet are, so when I’m at work, my heart stays at work, and when I’m at home, my heart stays at home.” What a great reminder to all moms, working or not. I know that when I was a stay at home mom, with no work, I still felt guilty leaving my boys with a sitter. I felt like I was somehow shortchanging them.

How do you deal with “mommy guilt?”
