When Do Kids Stop Believing in the Tooth Fairy?

The Tooth Fairy, Santa Claus, and the Easter Bunny are all real to many kids. However, as kids grow up they become more skeptical. This 9-year-old girl decided the best way to share her thoughts was to leave a note for the “Tooth Fairy.” Lexi isn’t having it anymore.

It’s not always easy for parents who want to keep the magic of the season alive for our kids. Sometimes it is other kids that tell them your parents get the teeth. They might see it in a YouTube video, Santa is only “real” if we believe. My kid wanted to know how Easter decided to make a rabbit the symbol of the season.

Somehow, my 8-year-old still believes in Santa and the Tooth Fairy, our 11-year-old, not so much. However, they still believe in the Valentine’s Day Squirrel.

How old were your kids when they found out the truth about seasonal characters?
