With Halloween around the corner, Denver police have released a video warning the community of the dangers of pot candy falling in to the hands of minors while trick-or-treating or at parties.
One reason this is a real danger is pot candy is manufactured to look identical to many popular candies on the market, which poses a real threat of a mix-up happening. This video shows just how similar they can be.
Police encourage parents to continue to be viligant as usual when sorting through your child’s candy, but to be extra careful with the larger than normal amount of pot candy hitting shelves this year in Colorado.
Pay attention to the wrapping, stick to brand name candy and watch for wrappers that have been tampered with.
