Facebook is partnering with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children by showing AMBER alerts on your Facebook feed. Facebook made the announcement today.
“The new initiative will deliver AMBER Alerts to people’s News Feeds in targeted search areas after a child has been abducted and the National Center has issued an alert.”
Facebook will work with local authorities to determine which areas to release the alert. They will include photos and other details about the missing child. They will come across on desktop and mobile versions of the social media network.
