Stories about babies in hot cars usually have tragic endings, but this one ended with a smile. Grandmother, Caroline Penny, accidentally locked her granddaughter, Iris, in the car while packing up to leave the store. Thankfully, 5-year-old “Batman,” Zavi Ahmed, was there to help.
Penny said she had locked the baby in her carseat and was walking around the car to get in when the doors locked, with the keys inside. The police were called and they tried everything, but eventually had to smash the back window. However, they were all too large to fit into the opening. Ahmed and his mother were there and he volunteered to go in through the window and get the keys.
The police laid a jacket over the broken window, “Batman” crawled through, and saved the day. Iris was out of the hot car and Zavi is being called a hero. Zavi wasn’t the only superhero there, his brother Nadeen, was dressed as Superman. Their mother said the boys wanted to dress as superheroes for their trip to the shop that day.
