According to the Miami Herald Bugaboo International is recalling over 9,000 strollers sold here in the US. The strollers being recalled have the serial numbers from 19010 11153 00001 to 19010 51248 00215. These strollers were sold by Buy Buy Baby, Toys R’ Us, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Bugaboo.com, and other retailers both on online and in-store. The date of the recalled product being sold was from September 2012 to March 2013 costing between $889 and $1,600.
This recall is due to the stroller’s carrying handle breaking or detaching, posing a fall hazard. This handle is used to transport the bassinet or seat separately from the chassis. So far, there have by 16 incidences reported to Bugaboo, but no injuries have occurred.
