Most of us have a few things we would change about our past, if we could. Maybe we would go back and be happier or recognize that life was much better than we thought. Maybe we would spend more time with someone we loved or not spend so much time with someone who didn’t deserve us. There is a viral video that has led to an amazing movement among women, #DearMe.
The video started in honor of International Women’s Day, which is Sunday, March 8. “In celebration of International Women’s Day, take part in YouTube’s global #DearMe initiative to inspire and empower young girls everywhere. We all know that growing up is tough. But if you could go back in time, what wisdom would you share with your teenage self? It all starts with two words. #Dear Me.”
I wish every girl, in every part of the world could see this video, and believe it! I was that awkward girl. I didn’t fit in and I didn’t always know who I was or where I belonged. It got better and I absolutely love who I am. I wish I had my 36-years-old confidence at 16-years-old. You can bet I’ll be sharing this with some girls who need to be encouraged.
What would you tell your younger self?
