Two dozen students at an elementary school in Texas were subjected to a partial strip search on Monday when school administrators said they kept finding feces on the gym floor and were determined to get to the bottom of it (pardon the pun).

They were divided in to groups of boys and girls and asked to pull their pants down so teachers could “check” them to see if they could find anything.

Maria Medina, the mother of an 11-year-old girl who was searched, says her daughter’s privacy was violated. She told WFAA the teachers involved should be fired. The 11-year-old girl said “I said I didn’t want to, but I was told I had to because all the kids had to.”

Gustine Independent School District Superintendent Ken Baugh agreed that asking the kids to drop their pants was wrong. “That’s not appropriate, and we do not condone that. So you would take disciplinary action.”

The school is currently under investigation, but parent’s are outraged and are planning a board meeting this week to help push the process along.

How would you handle this as a parent?
