This is one of the first years that my kids are really getting excited about Halloween and going Trick-or-Treating. Often we only think about the costumes and getting all the candy that will rot our teeth, but the truth of the matter is, we all need a fast and easy meal before we go out trick-or-treating. I have come up with a few meal ideas for Halloween night that your kids will be just as excited to eat. Also a few cute snack and treat ideas.

Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup– Switch it up by making a Jack-O-Lantern Grilled Cheese sandwich and you can even tell the older kids they are dipping it in blood!

Mummy Pizzas– Take 1 can of Pillsbury Grands biscuits, flatten each uncooked biscuit out by an inch. Top with jarred pizza sauce and string pieces of sting cheese all over and top with two black olive slices for eyes. Bake for 13-17 minutes in a 350F oven.

Mummy Dogs– Wrap hot dogs in Pillsbury crescent rolls. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden in a 350F oven.

StringCheeseBroomSticksPretzel Broom Sticks– Cut sting cheese in to 3 even pieces. Snip one end of the string cheese to make the “broom” part of the Broom Stick. Push one pretzel into the uncut end of the cheese. Tie a chive around the top of the cheese.

Orange and Black Sprinkles on top of rice crispy treats are always easy, and if you have some Halloween cookie cutters, the kids can help cut them out. Box brownies are also easy school treat for the kids when embellished with store bought milk chocolate frosting and orange and white sprinkles.
