Hello Barbie is going to take play time with dolls to the next level. This new doll uses integrated voice recognition technology to make Barbie more personable. She has a built in microphone and WiFi connection. She asks and answers questions and makes suggestions based on what she has heard.
Some people think it may be a little too much for kids. There are privacy concerns and what will happen with the data taken from Hello Barbies around the world. Mattel has said that safety and security are a big priority. Hello Barbie sends daily or weekly status reports to parents about what she’s talking about with their kids. She’ll be debuting this September at a store near you.
