12 year old Joe Arhibold of Longmont, CO accidentally wore the same shirt for picture day two years in a row when he was younger. He and his family decided it would be a funny tradition to continue wearing the same shirt every year as he got older.
Eventually he outgrew the small sized shirt and a hand me down medium. He became nervous about how he would continue his 5 year tradition! In search of the same shirt in Large his family resorted to social media to see if they could track one down.
Angela Houchin, of Fort Collins told the Denver Post that she saw the story about Joe’s shirt hunt and jumped out of her chair.
“It was crazy. Wait a minute, I recognize that shirt. No way,” says Houchin, who has two sons a few years older than Joe. She says she checked her older son’s closet. “Sure enough, I found it.”
Turns out the shirt she had was an XL, so he should be able to wear it all through high school as well!
