This is an easy craft you can do with kids of all ages. The amount of their involvement will depend on their age. It’s super easy and makes a great piece of art you can hang on your wall!
What you need:
canvas
photograph (same size as canvas)
MATTE mod podge
acrylic paint
Optional: Scrapbook paper
First, paint the sides of the canvas OR cut strips of scrapbook paper to fit each side of the canvas. Paint the sides with the mod podge and glue strips on each side Glue the photograph to the top of the canvas. Lay your project on wax paper so it doesn’t stick to your table top while drying. Allow to dry completely.
Then, use the mod podge to paint the entire canvas, the edges and the picture. Allow to dry completely again. Don’t worry if it looks creamy, mod podge dries clear. Let it dry completely.
Last, Use a paint sponge or cloth and paint the edges. You want to cover the spaces between the side and the photography and the edges of the canvas.
If the mod podge is dried completely you can smudge the paint around or wipe off as needed. We’d love to see your pictures if you do this project!
