Salt Dough Ornament Recipe

Ingredients:
2 cups flour
1 cup salt
1 cup water

Directions:
1. Mix salt and flour.
2. Add in half the water, then gradually add the remaining water.
3. Knead until the dough is smooth, this can take up to 10 minutes.
4. For flat dough ornaments roll out the dough on baking paper

Create:
You can mold these into any shape you want. Remember that the thicker they are, the longer they will take to “cook.” You can use cookie cutters or cut-out templates.
Make sure you dust the dough with flour to keep it easier to work with.

Don’t Forget to make the hole at the top of the ornament so you can hang it up once it is dry.

Set your oven for 325 degrees. It usually takes between and hour to and hour and a half to completely dry out.

Once they are dry you can decorate the ornaments. You can paint them or use glue to add glitter, beads or other accessories.

After the ornament is completely dry, cover with acrylic varnish in order to preserve them.
