These are cute and simple ornaments that make perfect gifts. You can put any word you want on the tile tray. You can use names or holiday words, “Noel” or “Joy.”
What You Need:
Scrabble Tiles – You can buy these from your local craft store. You can also buy a used Scrabble set from a thrift store.
Scrabble Tile Trays – You can also buy these from your local craft store.
Hot Glue Gun
Screw-Eyes
Drill
Saw
Sandpaper
Clear Acrylic Spray
Ribbon
Directions:
Arrange your words
Shorter words fit better on the trays and make better ornaments.
Cut Your trays to fit your words. Leave a little space on the ends to make it look better. Use a saw to cut the ends or spread the tiles out to fit the length of the tray you have.
Sand off the edges, so they are smooth.
Glue the tiles in place with a hot glue gun.
Spray the entire ornament with a clear acrylic spray.
Use a drill to make a hole in the top of the tray.
Screw in the screw-eye.
Thread a piece of ribbon through the screw-eye. We added a couple of bells to add a little flair!
