Brooklyn Daily photographer Georgine Benvenuto was attending a media event at a TGIF’s restaurant recently when a drone carrying mistletoe went out of contol and “kissed” her nose, causing her to be injured.
The restaurant had a holiday promotion going on where diners were visited by a flying drone complete with mistletoe. If they kissed while the drone hovered over them they would be given a holiday gift.
The operator of the drone insisted that Benvenuto allow the drone to land on her hand, but when it got close she reportedly flinched causing it to hit her nose and draw blood.
TGIF’s says it was an isolated incident caused by her flinching, but Benvenuto insists it wouldn’t have happened if the operator had been more careful.
