Philadelphia mom Caroline Robboy received a ticket and lecture from a police officer because her 2-year-old son, who is potty-training, couldn’t hold it.

She told a local news station, NBC10, that she and her kids were in a store when her toddler said he needed to use the restroom. The store told her no. As they left the store, her son ran to pee on a pole.

She tried to direct him to a grassy area, but it was too late. A police officer saw what was happening and issued her a $50 ticket for public urination. She tried to share with him what was going on with her son. According to her the police said, ” ‘I’m doing this for your own protection’ because God forbid there might have been a pervert out there looking at my son.”

Most of us know that when a 2-year-old needs to use the bathroom, they NEED to go. Of course we don’t want our sons peeing in the street, but sometimes accidentes happen. My sons have never peed in the street unless it was a severe emergency.

Robboy says she will fight the ticket. Although, it isn’t about the money to her. “I want a place that feels friendly to me where my children feel safe and have positive experiences with police officers.”

What do you think of this story? Do you think she deserves a ticket or was the cop too harsh? Have youre kids ever peed in a public place because it was an emergency?
