This is a fun project you and your kids can make yourself! It makes a great party popper for any party: New Year’s Eve, Birthday, or even just a special treat.

What You Need:
Toilet Paper tubes
Tissue paper or Wrapping paper
Scissors
Tape
Ribbon
Small toys, candy, confetti, anything small enough to fit in a toilet paper roll

Directions:

Cut tissue paper large enough to go around roll and hang over edges about 2 in.
Cut wrapping paper in the same manner, but only let hang over about 1 1/2 in to 1 3/4 in.
Cut toilet paper roll in half.
Place two halves of roll back together as if you hadn’t cut them.
Wrap tissue paper around tube and tape.
Wrap the wrapping paper around the tube and tape. You can also use a sheet of construction paper or white paper decorated by the kids!
Fill up the tube with your goodies.
Use the ribbon and tie the ends of the paper at the ends of the tube. BE CAREFUL, you don’t want to rip the paper.

“Popping” the popper is easy, just hold the ends and “POP!”
