With kids now settling into school, everyone is getting comfortable and their true colors are coming out. We may see our children as shy or smart or bossy, but they may come across very differently in their classroom. Spending time with peers in a classroom is much different than with siblings or friends and family. For example, my sister, who is loud and outgoing with our family, was the shy and quiet one in class. We had no idea until it was brought to my parents’ attention by teachers. Kids learn to navigate the world of school and may behave differently than we think.
