A new campaign by AT&T called “It Can Wait” is extremely well made and equally disturbing. They took stories of real people who were involved in texting-related accidents and created a short meant to educate. They aren’t simply stopping at a text though, they want drivers to recognize that any smartphone activity, any distraction can end horribly.
A minor distraction can ruin not only the mother and child’s life, but the man in the car she hit and the people who saw what happened. AT&T recently launched the campaign and will also have 30-second online teasers and a 3D virtual reality simulator to show what happens when you use a smart phone while driving.
