Back in 1995 Briggs Fussy and Brittney Husbyn walked down the aisle together as flower girl and ring bearer. Fussy’s Godmother was getting married and needed a flower girl. Husbyn’s mom was her friend from work and volunteered her then three-year-old daughter. Little did they know, twenty years later they would be walking down the aisle again, only this time as husband and wife!
Husbyn remembers recognizing Fussy in one of their high school classes. Briggs tells KMSP-TV, “She turned around one day in class and said ‘I think I have a picture of you on my wall at home.’ It’s funny how God’s plan came into place. I didn’t even know her before she turned around in class and told me that.”
A couple years later and after a few dates, they became an official couple and later went on to study at Mankato State University together. On January 10th they wed in front of 300 friends and family. Of course, Briggs’ Godmother can’t help but takes all the credit!
The couple say the are enjoying the attention, and plan on saving all the articles they have been featured in to share with their future children.
