It’s a snow day! Even though it’s freezing cold here in beautiful Colorado, you can stil enjoy the day. Here are some of our favorite ideas to do on a snow day.
- Make a Snowy Marshmallow Painting. This is a super fun (and only slightly messy) craft project, especially when it’s too cold to go outside and build a real snowman.
- Bring Snow INSIDE! Seems crazy right, but when it’s this cold, the kids won’t be able to handle being outside for very long (if at all). Instead, bring the fun inside. Simply fill up a few bowls with snow. Lay down a towel and pass out cups, measuring spoons, spatulas, trucks, or sensory bin items. Have fun scooping and playing in the comfort of a warm house!
- Make snow day snacks. Here are some easy favorites we found on Pinterest.
Snowman Pizza.
Snowman Pancakes.
Popcorn Snowman cups. Healthy snack if you use SmartPop! Maybe get a movie and spend the afternoon cuddling!
Banana Snowmen. Love these healthy little treats! Apples and bananas, YUM!
Snowflakes. Marshmallows and pretzels….sweet and salty will hit the spot and they are super fun to make.
