Feeding toddlers can be a daunting task for any parent. Many times they are picky little eaters and it’s hard to find a healthy food they’ll eat. Even as kids get older, they manage to pick a few favorite foods and that’s it. Here are a few “superfoods” we found over at Parenting.com that your kids just might like and they’re really good for them! Check out the full list by clicking here.
- Eggs
- Fruit: Especially berries! They have lots of fiber and nutrients.
- Tofu & Edamame: Whole soy foods are an excellent source of lean protein and have potent anti-cancer benefits.
- Low-fat Greek Yogurt: It has good bacteria that boosts immunity and help digestion.
- Cocoa: It has one of the highest concentrations of flavonoids, a compound known to improve blood pressure and heart and oral health. Use at least 70 percent pure cocoa and check that it isn’t processed with alkali, which removes most of the flavonoids. Ways to serve it (beyond hot cocoa): Sprinkle it on pancakes, waffles, or French toast, or melt some dark chocolate and dunk strawberries in it.
