Some feminists are making quite the statement on social media lately. Instead of getting rid of body hair, they are drawing attention to it by dyeing it neon shades of various colors – namely their armpit hair.
To join this new beauty trend it seems all you have to do is ditch your razor for a few months, and then dye your armpit hair your favorite color! Of course since armpit hair is generally dark, you have to bleach it before you dye it…
“Turns out, pit hair lightens super duper fast,” writes Seattle hairstylist Roxie Hunt of Vain Salon to InStyle Magazine, who kick-started the trend with her coworker Rain. “Being so close to the skin, body heat probably helped speed up the process.”
