TIME!!! Do you have enough because I sure don’t? My day is separated into 3 parts: have to’s, need to’s and like to’s. My have to’s are things like go to work, take kids to practices, fix meals; these are the things you have to do in a day no question. My need to’s consist of reading at night with my kids, helping them with homework, taking time to visit with my husband and spending time in the Word “my bible time”; these are things I can skip but for my family I need to try to fit these in during the day. Then I have my like to’s such as working out, relaxing in front of the TV or with a book or going out for a walk or a run; some of these are borderline need and like but really if I don’t get these done in a day everything still functions pretty well.
Now that I have explained that, my like to’s are hard to get too. Luckily my workouts are only 30 minutes long and I do them at home so I have been able to get those done but running has been ridiculous!!! I love to run it is my therapy! It is something I can go and do all alone, no interruptions. Once I leave the house I know that I will only be with my own thoughts for the time I am gone. As a mom this is an amazing feeling!!!! I LOVE MY KIDS AND HUSBAND don’t get me wrong but sometimes mom needs a little break and that is what I get with running. Also it costs nothing and I can do it anywhere which helps. I have a treadmill but I would much rather run outside but it has been CRAZY COLD out and very icy at times. I live on dirt roads so until the sun shines our roads are snow packed and slick. Also, I have had a hard time finding any time to just go do it. Do any of you have the same issues? Well this is my plan for the next week. I am going to try to find three times thisweek to run even if it is only a mile. I am going to try to take advantage of times like my lunch break or do my other workout before work so I can run in the evening. Wish me luck girls and I will let you know how it goes!!!
