A Kentucky man saw a young boy sitting alone in a truck that was running and the window was down. He was very upset and decided to record the situation.
Mark Hermann said he wasn’t sure if he should call the police, but decided to take a picture of the license plate. Then he started to record. The little boy told Hermann his mother was at work and his dad just went into the store. When the dad came back to the truck, Hermann told him, “You know, If I was a bad guy, I probably could’ve just drove off with this.”
The dad’s response, “I bet you would’ve got two in the back of the head…He’s not out of my eyesight.”
The police are investigating the situation. However, where is the line for leaving children in the car? Is it OK if they are in eyesight? Is it OK if they are older? What if the car is on and the air is running?
