Growing up I had an Oma and Grandaddy and Nanny and Paw-Paw. When I had my own children it wasn’t too difficult to decide what they would call their grandparents. My husband’s parents already had older grandchildren who called them Grandmother and Pa-Pa. My parents are Nana and Paw-Paw. That’s a lot of different names for one family.
There are so many more names for grandparents than we could list here. I’ve met Mimis and Greydaddys, Lollys and Pappys. According to a BabyCenter poll the two most common names are grandma and grandpa. Celebrities are known for some extremely alternative kids’ names and now they are leading the way with unique names for grandparents.

Mrs. Bush would be “Mimi Maxwell” and because he was the former Commander in Chief, Pres. Bush would be “Jefe,” Spanish for “chief.” Kris Jenner choose Lovey as her name. Martha Stewart kept it simple with Martha.
