There are so many choices when it comes to subscription boxes: meals, makeup, clothes, toys, video games, and many more.  I love my monthly boxes so much that I’ve started buying them as gifts for friends, family members, and even my dog! Not all boxes are a good deal, but here are five that I’ve tried and would recommend.  By the way, these make fantastic gifts for anyone and Christmas is only a few months away.

1. BarkBox – $19 – $29 per month

“BarkBox is a monthly delivery of toys, treats, and chews. For dogs, BarkBox is like the joy of 1 million belly scratches. From heavy chewers to special allergies, we paw-pick the best natural treats, chews, and innovative toys to match your dog’s unique preferences.”

I love bark box because they send great toys and treats for my special girl right to the door. She’s a puppy and chews up everything. It’s like having a replenishing set of toys and treats.  Definitely worth the money.

2. Tinker Crate (by Kiwi Crate) – Starts at $16.99 per month

My boys love building and creating things so the Tinker Crate is perfect for them. Each box includes a project, tutorial, and a “Tinker Zine” that includes more ideas and experiments for kids.

3. Nerd Block – Starts at $13.99 for Junior Blocks and go up to $19.99 for all other blocks

This is an awesome box for anyone who loves comic books, arcade games, video games, horror, or “nerd” related pop culture.  Some of the choices even include a t-shirt. There is usually at least 5-7 different items in a box including a t-shirt.  That is a heck of a deal.

4. BirchBox – Starts at $10 per month, but if you sign up for a year you get one month free

With this box you get five beauty product samples in the mail every month.  They are personalized based on your answers to a questionnaire you fill out when you subscribe.  I’ve found hair products and new makeup through this service.

5. StitchFix – $20 Styling Fee + Only pay for what you like

Some of the clothes are a bit pricey, but I’ve had quite a few reasonable pieces come through my boxes.  I have found jeans that I love and standard pieces I’ve worn for more than one season.  The style quiz helps your personal stylist get to know you and pick out your pieces.  If you love unique clothes this is the box for you.
