Grab the tissue, because this one’s a doozy! Chances are you’ve heard Rachel Platten’s hit “Fight Song” by now. It’s a powerful and inspirational song dedicated to never giving up and rising above our challenges. It has also touched the heart of a young 7-year-old boy named Jeremiah who is going through cancer treatments at the Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles.
“He used to sing it when he got a lot of headaches, but now he sings it in the morning, before bed and during shots he has to get,” his dad, Jerry Succar, said on the hospital’s blog.
Platten found out about Jeremiah through a Twitter campaign, and recently surprised him with a visit where she serenaded him with an acoustic version of her hit song. The serenade quickly turned in to a duet when he started singing, word for word.
