An Australian mom recently spent several days in the hospital when her 9-week-old baby boy was ill. When they were finally discharged from the hospital on Sunday she found a parking ticket on her windshield.  It was the last thing she needed during an already stressful week.

To her surprise, when she opened up the envelope containing the ticket, there was a bright pink note attached. As she read the note, she was shocked to learn that a complete stranger had paid the ticket for her.

“I saw your car had a parking ticket on it,” the note read. “I’m sure whatever you’re going through at the hospital is tough enough so I have paid for you.”

The stranger only left her first name, “Laura”.

The mom, who has chosen to remain unidentified was so grateful for this gesture that she posted her story on the Canberra Mums Facebook page.  She is hopeful “Laura” will see it and hopefully find out how much her kind gesture touched her heart.
