My little one has been struggling with a diaper rash for a while now! It’s making me crazy! I have tried every cream and product out there, switched diapers, wipes, and tested for allergies. I’ve made mixtures and tried all the wives tales. My sister-in-law just sent me this recipe and I wanted to share it with everyone. I love family recipes and I’m crossing my fingers that THIS is the recipe that works.
Severe Diaper Rash Home Remedy
Ingredients and reasons why we add them:
- Desitin- Original
- A+D Ointment
- Lotrimin (or a Anti fungal cream) – The bad diaper rashes involve yeast which the anti fungal helps to reduce that.
- Maalox or Mylanta – Reduces the irritation from the acid in the stools.
How to make it:
Mix equal parts of all the ingredients with a cap full of Maalox. This is sort of a trial and error type of thing until you are able to get it to a thick paste.
