It’s HERE! Summertime!

It’s Memorial Day weekend so kick off the summer with some of these great grilled recipes you can’t miss! These are our favorites from Pinterest.

1) Grilled Berry Crumble ( Better Homes and Gardens)

ingredients
3 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
2 cups fresh or frozen strawberries
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/2 cup quick-cooking rolled oats
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 cup butter
Whipped cream (optional)
Fresh strawberries, cut up (optional)

directions
1. In a medium saucepan combine blueberries, the 2 cups strawberries, the granulated sugar, and the 2 tablespoons flour. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture is thickened and bubbly. Transfer fruit mixture to an 8x8x2-inch metal or disposable foil baking pan; set aside.
2. For topping, in a medium bowl combine oats, brown sugar, the 1/4 cup flour, the nutmeg, and cinnamon. Using a pastry blender, cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle topping over fruit mixture. Cover pan tightly with foil.
3. For a charcoal grill, grill dessert in pan on the rack of an uncovered grill directly over medium coals for 20 to 25 minutes or until topping is set. (For a gas grill, preheat grill. Reduce heat to medium. Place dessert in pan on grill rack over heat. Cover and grill as above.)
4. Serve warm. If desired, serve with whipped cream and additional strawberries.

2) Grilled Banana Boats (Betty Crocker)

INGREDIENTS
6 ripe firm large bananas, unpeeled
6 tablespoons chocolate chips
6 tablespoons miniature marshmallows
2 tablespoons chopped pecans
( or any filling of your choice!)

1) Cut 6 (12-inch) sheets of heavy-duty foil. Heat gas or charcoal grill, or heat oven to 350°F.
2) With sharp knife, make deep lengthwise cut along inside curve of each banana, being careful not to cut all the way through. Open slit to form pocket. Crimp and shape 1 sheet of foil around each banana, forming boats.
3) Holding each banana in hand, fill pocket with 2 tablespoons chocolate chips, 2 tablespoons marshmallows and about 1/2 heaping teaspoon chopped pecans.
4) Return each banana to its foil boat. Seal top of foil, leaving 2 to 3 inches headspace. Place on grill over medium heat. Cover grill; cook 8 to 10 minutes or until marshmallows soften. Or bake 15 to 20 minutes in oven until marshmallows soften. (Can also place in campfire coals to cook.)

3) Grilled Camp Fire Cone (Come Together Kids)

Ingredients
* Sugar Cones
* Peanut Butter
* Mini Marshmallows
* Chocolate Chips
* Bananas
* Aluminum Foil
(to wrap them in)
1. Chop up the bananas and get some marshmallows and chocolate chips ready.

2. Spread some peanut butter on the inside of the cone, then put in the bananas, marshmallows and chocolate chips.

3. Wrap the whole cone in aluminum foil, then put in over the hot coals for 5-10 minutes or so, turning every so often.

4) Grilled Bacon Wrapped Corncobs (A Cat in the Kitchen)

Take one fresh corncob per person. Remove corn husks from corncobs and boil in salted water for 10 minutes. Remove from water and let cool. Wrap each corncob in 3-4 rashes of bacon , secure with tooth picks. Grill on a barbecue until the bacon is crispy and nicely colored. Be careful not to burn, make sure to turn regularly. Eat while still warm, don’t forget to remove the toothpicks!
