When I was young I was PETRIFIED about “becoming a woman”! It’s a scary thing for a young girl to find out what is about to happen to her every month.
I was lucky enough to have a great Girl Scout leader who was a nurse and she really took the fear out of the whole experience. She made us “preparation packs” to be ready for when the time would come, and I was so less fearful being prepared and having literature to read over to reassure me.
But this video below that is an ad for a company that basically makes those “Preparation Packs” has a hilarious take on this rite of passage. The company “Hello Flo” sets up a mail delivery of panty liners, tampons, and candy each month in time for your period.
Fantastic right?!?
They have marketed their product to tweens and teens and really want the girls to feel empowered.
