In case you haven’t heard the news, Colorado Springs is now home to Nordstrom Rack! If you like good deals on higher end labels, then you’ll probably want to check it out. They just opened their doors this past Thursday, and my daughter and I went and checked it out on Saturday. Here’s the scoop on what we thought.
It’s new, so it’s busy
Granted, it was a Saturday when we went, but it was packed. There were long lines, and people everywhere which made if feel very hectic. Staff were on top of things though, and there was plenty of help to go around. I would suggest maybe going on a weekday until the excitement dies down a little.
Staff were super friendly and helpful, and they all wore bright colored vests so they were easy to find and very approachable.
Deals galore
Almost everything is priced around 30 – 50% off regular prices. There was a decent selection of clothing, including a kids section, plus-sized, dresses, and mens. They also have a pretty good designer shoe section, and one of my friends already admitted to buying 8 pairs there! Our favorite section was make-up! They have brand names like NYX, Urban Decay and Smashbox for 50% off regular prices! We will definitely be back for that. My daughter tried on a gorgeous prom dress that was regularly over $200 on sale for $89. If it didn’t need alterations we would have snagged it!
There was also a great selection of designer hats, scarves, and intimates.
Good location
Nordstrom Rack is located at 7645 North Academy Boulevard in the Chapel Hills East shopping center. It’s where Old Navy and Best Buy are located, just south of Chapel Hills Mall. There was plenty of parking despite how busy they were, and I like that it’s conveniently located around other stores and restaurants.
The only cons I noticed was that finding things is a little hit and miss, kind of like Ross. Their inventory is always changing, so you kind of have to go back regularly to find those treasures.
There was also a male employee working the women’s dressing room, which seemed a little odd. It didn’t bother me, but I could tell some of the older women were a little confused by it. Maybe that’s just because they were busy and needed the extra help, I’m not sure.
Overall, I will definitely go back to check out more deals in the future. We give Nordstrom Rack a thumbs up!
