Sketchers is marketing “Shape-Up” sneakers for seven year old girls. One of the first complaints about this is that they are pressuring young girls to be aware of their weight and looks. Another complaint is that these shoes are being made only for girls, not boys. One Mom says that any shoes that come with an instruction manual and DVD is not made for a child. The shoes specifically say not for running and some Moms question what seven year old doesn’t run.
