A man flagged down a bus at 3 a.m. on Friday and now he is being called a hero. This man found a 4-year-old girl, alone in Northeast Philadelphia. She was on a mission for a slushy. The bus driver said he was shocked.
“Got to be kidding me! At this time, at 3 o’clock on the morning,” said driver Harlan Jenifer. “She’s a small little thing. It kind of just shocked me.”
He immediately called police and in about an hour, Annabelle was home with her family. Her parents, Jaclyn Mager and Timothy Ridgeway said they have changed the locks in hopes that this is her last late night trip to WaWa alone.
Dad, Ridgeway, said he just keeps thinking, “What if…My mind is wanting to go places, it’s hard not to…Thank God for the bus driver.” Mom says she will be forever grateful, “There are no words, he saved my daughter’s life,” she said of bus driver Harlan Jenifer.
