Yesterday, “Teen Mom” Maci Bookout tweeted a picture of her son, Bentley, peeing outside behind some trash cans. She captioned the picture, “Classy.” As a mom of boys, I found it typical and a little funny. My boys would much rather go outside than come in and use the bathroom. That’s the great thing about being a boy, right?
You know what, I’m OK with that! I don’t care in the least bit, as long as they aren’ putting it out there for everyone to see. They know that public places are off limits, that includes parking lots, playgrounds, swimming pools, etc. If we are in the woods or the back yard, they are free to pee.
I was surprised at how some moms said they would never let their kids pee outside. Others said they found it disgusting and tacky. I can sort of agree with the moms who said they wouldn’t have posted the picture online, but the act itself was just funny and not that big of a deal.
