Apparently a real live Grinch lives in Canada.

Kingston Police arrested a 24-year-old man after he walked along the route of a Christmas parade in Ontario last weekend. The man was telling children in the crowd that Santa doesn’t exist, reported the Huffington Post. Police had no trouble finding their suspect because he had ” his hair formed to look like horns that were protruding from his head.”

He was charged with causing a disturbance, public intoxication, and violating his probation.

Tis’ the season for believing in magic and giving back, but it’s also that time of year again, when we, as parents, struggle with whether or not, and for how long our children should believe in Santa. Have you had to talk to you kids about this yet? What to do when your child is the one who spills the secret first?

As the Santa season begins (his official entrance is at the end of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade, right?) the Grinch with the horns in Canada seems as good a place to start as any. The Huffington Post asked, what if he hadn’t been drunk (and didn’t have such statement hair)? Should anyone be allowed to shout this to a crowd of kids who are excited to see Santa?
