Run with the big dogs (and little ones) and help the homeless animals at Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region during the 7th annual Pawtoberfest fundraiser this Saturday!
The Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region is expecting to draw more than 1,000 people and raise over $100,000 at its popular pet fundraiser Pawtoberfest on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Bear Creek Regional Park. All proceeds help fund programs benefiting homeless or abused animals in the Pikes Peak Region.
Bring your family, including four-legged members, to run or walk the 5K course, then head over to the festival and beer garden across the street to celebrate! Try the All Breed Rescue and Training agility course, polka with your pooch, and get your paws on free samples from dozens of pet-friendly companies. Does your pooch give the best kisses? Sign him or her up for the kissing contest! Halloween (or ‘Howl’oween, if you prefer) is just around the corner, so don’t forget to register for the best canine costume for a chance to win great prizes. Food and beer will also be available for purchase, with 100% of the beer proceeds going to HSPPR.

Pawtoberfest race registration gets you a long sleeve T-shirt and a free beer in the beer garden. Help even more homeless animals by asking family and friends to support your run with a donation. Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region is the largest nonprofit animal shelter in southern Colorado. Serving 24,000 animals last year, HSPPR provides adoption options, animal cruelty investigations, subsidized spays/neuters, a Trap-Neuter-Return program for feral cats, and other important services.
